Fun with Daddy

Last night was Nathaniel's end of soccer season party. Mike stayed home and played with Tabor and I went to the party. You see, Tabor is a bit of a handful and we would have spent the whole night watching Tabor play and missed the soccer stuff. We decided one will go and one will stay at home. I got to go while Tabor stayed and had fun with Daddy building forts out of moving boxes.

Chrys, Devin and Tabor #2

Chrys and Devin came to visit Tabor and I yesterday. Tabor was telling Devin "hi, hi, hi" again. He also was trying to help Chrys with Devin. She changed his diaper twice while they were here both times Tabor helped he get things out of the diaper bag and put them back. She brought his bouncer chair(used to be Tabor's), he took the stuff and wanted her to put Devin in it. I think that he also wanted to sit in it but he is a little too big for that. Chrys brought her infant carrier pack with her because Devin loves it. Tabor tried to bring it to her to put on. Tabor sure is a good helper with a good memory from a week ago.

Chrys, Devin and Tabor

My friend Chrys came over yesterday with her adorable 2 mth old son, Devin. I posted about Chrys before back in July. She was very pregnant and making a pie at my house. This time she came for a visit so that she and Devin could get Shelly and Tabor time. Tabor just loved him so much. He would close to him and say "hi, hi, hi". He would smile at Devin with a smile that lights up the room. When she put Devin in his bouncer chair, he would get up close and say "hi" and give him a hug. Tabor sure loves babies!

Take My Picture

I was picking up my camera to post some pictures from yesterday. Tabor saw it and smiled getting ready for his picture. I couldn't pass the opportunity up but he got impatient before the camera finished it's job.

Hospital Pictures from May 2009

These are from Tabor's hospital trip back in May. He had really bad case of croup. It started with a ER visit which turned into a overnight stay. These were taken the next day after he got a steroid medicine. Yes, he is in the bathroom. Once he discovered the door that slides open and closed, I couldn't keep him out. For having croup, Tabor is a happy baby. I mean, little boy.

Again these are from my phone so the quality isn't that great. I couldn't resist posting them.

Tabor's Afternoon Nap

This is how I found Tabor sleeping during his afternoon nap yesterday. I went to go wake him up at 4 pm because he took a short nap this morning. I didn't want him staying up late at night because I have have to stay up. Hopefully, he will still go to bed his normal time, which is 7:30-8 pm.

Please excuse the bad quality. I took it with my phone camera which isn't as good as my camera.

Nathaniel's Camping Trip

Nathaniel went camping with Grandpa and Grandma Rodden, Aunt Tiff and soon to be Uncle Mike, and Uncle Bobby. The went camping the last week of August at Lake Billy Chinook. I sent Nathaniel with a disposable camera to get some pictures. Nathaniel went fishing and played in the lake a little bit. He had a great time. Grandpa showed him how to fish and gut a fish. Tiff and Grandma got Nathaniel to get on the intertube. I heard it took some coaxing but once he was one, he enjoyed himself. These are the pictures from the trip. Some didn't turn out so well. I also didn't ask my in laws to make sure they didn't mind I put their pictures up. I sure hope it's okay. :)

This is a video test

Mike and I were looking through all the old pictures on our camera a couple nights ago. We had over a years worth of pictures and a few videos. Here is one of them. This one is from around Christmas time when we had all the snowy weather. Enjoy!

My little helper

Tabor is my new helper in the kitchen. For the past week, he has been pulling a kitchen chair up to the counter while I am cooking. He never tries to touch the hot pots and pans or the stove. He doesn't even bother the knives that are pushed into the corner of the counter. He just stands there and points. On occasion, he'll say "wha is(what's this)" or wha at(what's that)".

So, today I was getting veggies and chicken cut up for Chicken and Dumplings. Tabor gets the chair and brings it over to the counter. I turn my head to peek at him and he is trying to use the can opener. It was the cutest thing. I get Mike's attention and he hears me. He turns his head to me and smiles, then goes back to trying to work the can opener.

Also, please ignore my messy counter. It's all cleaned up now, I promise.

Our Day at Grandpa & Grandma Rodden's House

Earlier this week Mike got a call from his parents to come out and help load up the new wood shed and breakfast. This morning we headed out to Sandy bright and early(7:30 am). We got to there house at 8:30 am. Breakfast was starting to be made. The house smelled like yummy breakfast foods. For breakfast we had options of eggs, bacon, sausages, hash brown patties, toast, last but not least Granny Annie's Famous biscuits and gravy. After our tummies we all full, the boys, my mother in law and sister in law all went out to help load up the wood shed. I took my boys(Nathaniel and Tabor)into town. We went to Freddy's to buy them rain boots. They both got monster truck boots. We went back to the house and the boys played outside on the swing set and slide. Then they got the option on riding on Grandpa Bob's CAT while he loaded the truck full of wood. Nathaniel took a ride and loved it. Tabor cried while watching Nathaniel. I decided it was Tabor's nap time(noon). The boys and I went back into the house where Tabor took a mini nap(30 minutes)and Nathaniel and I watched Spongebob. We went back outside(1:15)because the boys needed lunch. Grandma Laurie came inside to make lunch and she got out of unloading the rest of the wood. We left(2:30) and headed back into town to hit the Sandy Library because they sell super cheap gently used books($2-$5 is the average I've seen). Then we headed home.
