I'm a technology boy!

Tabor has decided that he can play the DS by himself now. That involves him turning it on and hearing the music and touching the screen with the stylus. He get very excited when he gets to do that. Last night I was trying to take pictures without him noticing but he knows what the light that comes from the camera makes. He smiled for everyone.

This morning Tabor decided that he is a Guitar Hero pro. Every time we play the game Tabor wants a guitar to play with as well. He looks at the TV screen and screams with excitement since he thinks he is making the game work.

Please ignore Tabor's dirty shirt and the fact my pictures are reverse. Darn blogger!

Playing nice?

As I am making dinner my boys are playing on our deck. Yes, they are playing nice. But every now and then I hear Tabor make little shrieks because Nathaniel has something he wants. Then I hear Nathaniel make comment to him as to why he is shrieking. Such as:

"That's my guy "
"Your guy can't play on my castle. You have the ship"

Then I have to make comments, such as:

"Nathaniel, share."
"Your brother doesn't understand what you are telling him."
"Play nice."

Tabor wants to live in the 8 yr old world that his brother does. He just doesn't fit yet. Even though Tabor doesn't fit all the way in Nathaniel's 8 yr old world, he does get to play with some of Nathaniel's younger toys.

Sunshine

Nathaniel asked for a pet the a few weeks ago. He said he wanted a hamster. We talked with him about how he has to take care of the hamster. Last weekend, I took him to the pet store and he picked out his hamster. It's a girl and he named he Sunshine. He was so cute. He sat in a chair and watched Sunshine like when you first bring a baby home from the hospital.

Tabor's "New" Bedtime Routine

Tabor has recently started going into Nathaniel's bedroom at nighttime and getting into his bed. He pulls up the covers and lays his head on Nathaniel's pillow like he is going to go to sleep. It is the cutest thing. Then Nathaniel will get into bed and Tabor will instruct Nathaniel what to do. That lasts maybe 10 minutes because Nathaniel says he is sleepy and Tabor starts fussing because Nathaniel is cooperating. At that point, Tabor is taken to his bed where he falls asleep immediately.
