Tabor's firsts

Starting last weekend, I would put Nathaniel's Hotwheels on Tabor. I would make car sounds and run the all over him. Tabor now does the same thing. He runs them over his head and on the floor making car noises.

Tonight, Tabor tried some Thai food for the first time. We gave him rice, chicken, carrots and potatoes. He didn't make a face or spit any of it out. We got to a Thai restaurant where the waitress knows what we order every time and tells us how big Tabor is getting. We don't normally take Nathaniel since he tends to be picky about his foods. But he came tonight and tried the food too. He didn't seem to enjoy it as much as his brother.

Tonight at bath time, Tabor was playing with a boat. He was making the sounds he makes with cars. It was so cute. And just so everyone is clear, Tabor's bath time is him standing up playing with the faucet and shower stopper.

This is gross so be forewarned. Tabor is sick, again. And starting yesterday, he was coughing so hard food and phlegm/mucus was coming it. I have a weak stomach for throw up. Let me tell, you how glad I was that Mike was here to help clean it up and Tabor. Ick!

Sleepy boy

I was supposed to post this back on January 6th and forgot. I just discovered the pictures when I was doing my last post.

Tabor fell asleep in his highchair on January 6th. It was his first day back at daycare since before we had all the nasty weather in December. I think he must of had too much fun with all his friends since he feel asleep at dinner time. Mike put him in the crib and Tabor woke up later. When he got up, he ate dinner then.

Chrys, Tabor and Apricots

My friend Chrys came over to watch Tabor on Monday for a few hours for me. Chrys is supposed to be a first time mommy at the end of July. I thought watching Tabor since he is still babyish would help her get more comfortable with babies. He was sleeping when she got to our house. I called her when I was done and let her know I was on my way. She said Tabor was awake and they had Cheerios and a bottle. Chrys lined Cheerios on Tabor's leg and he ate them. Then she lined some on her legs and he ate those off. Chrys was snacking on dried apricots when she was feeding him Cheerios. Tabor was definitely interested in the apricots. When I got home, Chrys sat Tabor on her lap while I made her lunch and feed him apricots. He thought they were SO yummy! He wanted to eat the entire container of them.

Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Rodden

This is from Nathaniel:

Thank you for the Platform Fighter. It is cool. I like the yellow Lego Clone. The Clone has a long gun. The Lego guys helmet is cool.

Merry Christmas from The Rodden's

Yes, I know Christmas is over but I hadn't got a chance to post anything regarding Christmas. I will just start by apologizing for not getting any pictures at any Christmas event we had. I'm sorry.

1st Christmas: On Christmas Eve, we went to my mom and Harold's for dinner. Last year, my mom started a tradition of making Turkey Enchilada Casserole. For those of you who grew up with on the Whipps side of family, you know how good it is. Since they is only 7 of us at Christmas, it doesn't make since to have a big ham or turkey.

Normally on Christmas day we go to Mike's parents then we go to my Dad and Kelly's house. Since the snow was still bad on Christmas we didn't end up going to either.

2nd Christmas: We went to my Dad and Kelly's on New Year's Day. We saw my Dad, Kelly, Hannah and Isaac. Kelly made her usual drink that I love, Mulled Grape Juice. I don't know how to describe it. I just think that it was yummy. She also made my favorite cookie at Christmas time, Russian Tea Cakes. She had made them fresh that morning, too! It was good to see them because I don't get to see them that often. We spent the afternoon at there house.

3rd Christmas: We finally made it to Mike's parents on January 4th. After they had 3 feet of snow that had melted off. They didn't have a couple inches of snow when we got there but nothing like we had earlier. We had a Christmas brunch at there house with his immediate family, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and family friend. It was a nice brunch with A LOT of food. It was good to see relatives and friends that we don't get to see as often. On the way home we stopped at my grandparents house to visit with them.

Normally, all this is fit into a day and a half. It was much more relaxing since it was spread out over two weeks.
